Changing the layout of sub forums

Currently the standard when you have a few sub forums is thus:

*subforuma, *subforumb, *subforumc, *subforumd, *subforume

On my site it looks kinda messy, what I would like to do is have the sub forums look like this:

*subforuma, *subforumb,
*subforumc, *subforumd,
*subforume

To make it look tidier.

Any ideas?

Subforums in columns are available in vBulletin.org and support for that modification is provided on the other site.
