Error - class_core.php line 1030

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysqli_init() in /home/admin/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 1030

Anyone know what could be wrong? I've updated the server to Apache 2.2.6 and php5.2.4 which took forever. So now it seems my forum isn't working and I used a backup database, but still get this error. Anyone know a fix?

Edit config.php and change:

$config['Database']['dbtype'] = 'mysqli';

To:

$config['Database']['dbtype'] = 'mysql';
