Browser HANGS on Reply...Site Dead Slow

I'm having weird issues with a site I converted about 2 weeks ago from phpbb to vBulletin 3.6.8 -- the site has a custom template and is very lightly modded (just 2 mods, that's it).

For the first little while, things were great. Now I'm getting complaints the site is dead slow. Some are saying it is taking 4 minutes to reply to a post.

I myself am having no problems. I have cleared issues with the host and the site seems to be holding steady with .67 avg load.

I have tested the site with IE7, IE6, IE5, Opera, and FF. All work for me just fine. But regular users of the site -- especially those using IE -- report slow usage. The weird thing is they say any other vBulletin they go to moves along just fine -- but not ours.

    The site is ChristmasTalk.com.

I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. I'm pulling my hair out on this one.

You have some Java that members need to install to view your site properly.

Old thread I know but I have the exact same problem I think. Whenever a user tries to reply or post a new thread, the site hangs for ages. Quick reply and general browsing is quite quick.

DFC005, the best way to solve your issue is by starting your own thread with relevant details to your own issue.
        Provide type of host,
        Check hosting status,
        Create New Style
Disable All Modification (including third party <scripts> google, yahoo, site counters...)
Re-upload non-image files of version you are currently running.
Run - Diagnostics > Suspect File Versions and list what is shown.

Thanks Jose. Did what you suggested and found a problem in my custom header that was causing the page to hang. Fixed that and it's all looking nice now.

          Cheers!
