Forum database seems to work but "Invalid Page Specified"

I have reinstalled or rather re-upgraded to 3.6.8 and still get
    Invalid Page Specified
When ever I try to go to the forum or log into the forum or use any links that are liked to forums
I was in the CMPS 3.0 earlier and did delete a page called "include" I thought I had created it it wasn't what I wanted so I deleted it.
I don't know if this is linked to me not being able to get into the forum? The site seems to be up and the CMPS pages work but when I go to update them by logging into the system I log in and then get kicked out to
    Invalid Page Specified
If anyone has any idea let me know please. As of now I am locked out of my system

I've also emailed my host asking them if it was on their end. But I don't think it is because when I re-upgraded it connected to the database.
    Bummer

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

Next, disable all third-party products and plugins:

Admin CP -> Products & Plugins

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

I can't log into the admin area

I can't log into the admin area, everytime I try it kicks me back out to the main site saying...

      Invalid Page Specified

I've uploaded the entire site again, version 3.6.8 and nothing changed.

Funny thing was I was in there this afternoon and everything looked really nice.

      Thanks

        I've also re-installed

I've also re-installed, going through the upgrade process. It connects to the database OK and everything seems to be good.

But then still nothing, the only thing on the site that works is the CMPS pages and modules.

        Very strange

If you still are running a CMPS then you have not followed all of my instructions. Please note that we cannot provide support for forums running non-vB code.

How can I possibly follow your suggestions when I can not log into the administration part of the website. Which is pointed out in the previous post.

Can you please suggest something else other than

            .
Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

Next, disable all third-party products and plugins:

Admin CP -> Products & Plugins.
If the login bounces me back to the same error then obviously doing as you have suggested is completely impossible.

Is there a way to do this manually?

There are things in my suggestions you can do that do not involve accessing the Admin CP. If you are still running a CMPS, then you have not done them.

                I've done them

I re-uploaded the entire 3.6.8 site into the forum folder on my site.

I go to the forum folder to launch forum/index.php and it still gives me the error.

The CMPS file that loads the CMPS stuff is in the /root directory and I have deleted it and replaced it with the index.php from the vBulletin and all I get is these errors because it isn't in the forum directory.

Warning: main(d:\_Helm\intentionalhealing.org\wwwroot/includes/init.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in d:\_Helm\intentionalhealing.org\wwwroot\global.php on line 20

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'd:\_Helm\intentionalhealing.org\wwwroot/includes/init.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in d:\_Helm\intentionalhealing.org\wwwroot\global.php on line 20

I move the index.php file into the forum directory and the page loads with
                "Invalid Page Specified"

Do you have any other suggestions?

You are on a Windows host. You may only be able to run the forums from your wwwroot folder and not in a subfolder. You should contact your hosting provider and make sure they allow scripting in subfolders and have the system set up correctly.

                    Thanks Wayne

I've renamed the forum folder forum.old, re uploaded the 3.6.8 again this time into the root. I still get the same error except some how it is still calling the cmps vbadvanced stuff. I don't know if it's getting it from the database but it's there. I've made sure there is no references to it in the global.php still same error.

Also the site worked great in the forum folder for several months. Recently I upgraded to the new VBAdvanced and now that is all that works... It is obviously a VBAdvanced issue and not a VBulletin issue so I'm moving over there.

Thanks for your and Steves suggestions and input.
