Follow Forum Moderation Rule not Working

    Hello guyz..

I want to add a post based moderation rule. I want the posts by users who has less than 50 posts should be moderated.

I have created a user group based on Registered Users and set Follow Forum Moderation Rule to No.

But the users are still able to post without moderation...

    PS : Using VB 3.6.5

You either have a modification that is affecting permissions, they are in other usergroups, or you have specific forum/usergroup permissions that overwrite this setting.

I have the same problem in that auto: moderatoin isn't working at all.
I have this set in my admin... general settings: auto moderation
I have set keywords to include cialis and viagra

I want postings to be posted unless they contain a keyword.. then they should get kicked to moderation.

That is how the help reads for the auto moderation setting anyway.

How to I make all forums in my board follow this setting?

I don't want to have everything moderated, just the ones that contain spammy keywords that I have defined in the general:auto moderation settings.

There is no function in vB for 'auto-moderation' based on keywords.

Also for future refence please start your own thread. Thank you.

how do i find which modification is affecting permission. If i disable all i wont be able to identify which modification is responsible for this..

Disable them all, then re-enable one at a time to see which one is causing this.

I have disabled all the modification but still it is not allowing to moderate new users.

I have also upgraded to 3.6.8

I can guarantee that if your permissions are set correctly, this does work with the default vB code.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

                Next, disable all plugins.

Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

                define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

                If so, double-check your permissions.
