How does the 'Revert Template' work?

    How does the 'Revert Template' work?

    When you revert a template, are you reverting it only for that theme(basic theme will still have latest versions), or are you reverting it for everything? I really hope its the first one.

    And if it is the first one, how is that done? Do you store the php on the database? Is it some kind of XML? I just would like a understanding of how it works so I can use it better.

    It reverts that template for that style back to the default template. If there are child styles to that style, this will be reverted for them also unless that template has been modified in the child style.
