    Thread display

How do I get every thread to display with the original post first and then the rest of the threads chronologically? Right now, the most recent post is displayed on top.

Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

I think I may not have phrased my question properly. In my forum, when viewing a thread, the most recent post shows at the top of the thread. If it was this thread, this post would be on the top of the page. When I view this thread, my original post is at the top of the page. It seems almost every forum is set up to display the original post at the top of the page, followed by the replies.

If your original answer applies to this question, then I apologize for repeating the question but the current view makes it difficult to follow the conversation.

        You're right, I misunderstood.

Look for the Thread Display settings in vBulletin Options. This sets the default view mode for new members:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Registration Options -> Thread Display Mode -> Linear - Oldest First

To reset options for existing users:

Admin CP -> Import & Maintenance -> Execute SQL Query -> Automatic Query -> Posts - Oldest First

        Then click on 'Continue'.

And finally to do this just for yourself:

User CP -> Edit Options -> Thread Display Options -> Thead Display Mode -> Linear - Oldest First
