I have also put it in the footer template - right at the bottom.

It's supposed to go at the bottom, right before the closing </body> tag.

Does anyone know how to get Analytics tracking code on the archive pages?

The bottom of the footer template.

Oops - for the archive this requires modifying the code directly. Try www.vbulletin.org.

Feature request: how about a way to insert Google Analytics code into the control panel so that it appears on all pages, including archives? It could even track users by user name (like Drupal's Google Analytics Module).

This would be a great feature.

People need to track visitors on the archive pages also, otherwise the stats will be wrong.
