    About reputation system

Hi! I've upgraded to vbulletin 3.6.8 and all works ok but the reputation system, doesn´t work. It is enabled and the groups have the correct properties, I can see the reputation bar but I can´t see any reputation button, I mean, the button to give reputation to the users.

What I'm doing wrong? sorry about my english, thank you!

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version:

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

    Next, disable all plugins.

Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

    define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

I've had a very similar problem. When I run the suspect file versions I get:

vbulletin_attachment.js File does not contain expected contents
cpnav_impex.xml File not recognized as part of vBulletin

Obviously the impex file is part of the install procedure, the other I don't see as being relevant to the Reputation setup.

I'm running 3.6.8, and I've got Project Tools and vbPortal 3.6.4 installed. On all the test installs I didn't seem to have this problem. (Seem as in I never noticed it during my investigation of the site)

This topic I've seen possibly relates to this problem:

My hosts are using ModSecurityTM and commented this when I asked about using the htaccess code in the above post:

Yes we have mod_security enabled on the server but sorry we can't disable it for any domain.
what is the exact error you are recieving?
Any ways around this, and am I right in suspecting ModSecurityTM is the problem?

Any further news on this yet, it's been a couple of days and I've not been able to solve the problem in the meantime.

        Thanks in advance.

First, you should follow the instruction I posted. Then if you have further questions, please start your own thread with all the relevant info.

I went through the instructions you provided... and nothing worked.

Then I looked through my settings again, and noticed the user reputation system had been reset to 'No'.

Might explain why I couldn't get it to work

            Thanks for your help.
