    Force guests to enter password

I want to allow guests to view my forum, but I don't want any spiders or bots. Is it possible to force guests to use the captcha system before proceeding, like when they are trying to register they need to type in what's in that garbled window?

I don't want google, yahoo, etc. on my site and the robots.txt isn't working.

I set it up as follows:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /

    Thanx in advance.

robots.txt will work, just give it time, and you can enable image virification for most guests options.

And where would I enable these image verification options? I have looked in the forum and usergroup manager's but could find no such capability. I also looked in the options settings but could see nothing there either.

you can also add a pass protect popup, with the login info on the popup, in the .htaccess file

Any examples of this? I am not an HTML or PHP programmer. In fact, I've never even heard of the file you mentioned. Where would I find it?
