How do I decrease the size of the dark space shown in the attachment?

If he's talking about the space I have highlighted in red though, this space is usually achived by using the "<br />" code in vBulletin. May also be a case of using the paragraph "<p></p>" also. But I doubt it.

I don't have vBulletin installed right now so I can't check it out. But I would double check for a "<br />" being used to create that gap.

Yes. It's probably a <br>.

I just asked him, if it's caused by the custom forumhome_levelone_nopost template to seperate categories - which shows this double <br> in forumhome only.

Yes it was the <br />. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I removed it from under the navbar code and it collapsed it to where its supposed to be.
