Setting Sendmail Address

I have been having a debate with my ISP over the last few days. The sendmail path that is coming up when I run a diagnostic on the email through PHP is not the same as the host setting. Therefore the email function on vBulletin will not work. They INSIST this is something I need to change through VB and I cannot see anywhere that this can be done. I have read threads here that say this cannot be done on VB and that it has to be done through the host server.

I even sent them links to some of the threads here and they say VB is wrong.

Any help?

They are wrong. There is no option in vB to set this. It gets that setting fom the server's PHP settings.
