    Server Upgrade to MySQL 5 and many problems

    My host upgraded the database server to MySQL 5.0.45-log since then the forum is not working as it was.
    I got 100's of database errors messages and the forum is very very slaw most of the time.
    I have 3.6.8 and there are nothing wrong with its installation or database.
    When I contacted them, they said that there is something in the forum codes or tables which is not compatible with MySQL 5.
    Is that right?

    If not, is there anything to tell them to do to solve these problems.

    Of course I use hacks and they are the same before that upgrade they did.
    Can I do anything to test all the templates and check if they are compatible or not?
    Or do something to the table as I read in MySQL site in this Url: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/...-from-4-1.html

    I really don't know what to do. All my members start to run away.

    vBulletin is compatible with MySQL 5.0.X. That is what we use on this site here. What are the database errors that you are getting?

      These are some of them:

      MySQL Error : Lost connection to MySQL server during query
      Error Number : 2013

      mysql_pconnect() [<a href='function.mysql-pconnect'>function.mysql-pconnect</a>]: User <name> already has more than 'max_user_connections' active connections
      /<removed>/vb/includes/class_core.php on line 274

      mysql_pconnect() [<a href='function.mysql-pconnect'>function.mysql-pconnect</a>]: Can't connect to MySQL server on '<removed>' (110)
      /<removed>/vb/includes/class_core.php on line 274

      mysql_pconnect() [<a href='function.mysql-pconnect'>function.mysql-pconnect</a>]: Can't connect to MySQL server on '<removed>' (111)
      /<removed>/vb/includes/class_core.php on line 274

      Database error in vBulletin 3.6.8:
      Invalid SQL:
      SELECT moderator.*, user.username,
      IF(user.displaygroupid = 0, user.usergroupid, user.displaygroupid) AS displaygroupid, infractiongroupid
      FROM moderator AS moderator
      INNER JOIN user AS user USING(userid);

      MySQL Error : Lost connection to MySQL server during query
      Error Number : 2013

      More than 700 error messages from 19-8 the day they upgraded to MySQL 5 until today.
      For short times (for minutes) the forum work very good but most of the time it works very slaw or stop responding and gave those errors.

        This is a server issue. You need to contact your host about this. See this post for the possible causes of a lost connection error:

          Thanks to you both, Wayne and Steve.
          I 'll check those subjects for more information and knowledge.

          The problem was in the main database in the host DB server it is called information_schema, As one of the members said, that the main table called COLUMNS had something wrong.
          They fixed it and every thing is OK now.
          Thanks again, it is now 7:00 AM here, I wish you both a good morning and a nice and happy day.
