Way to Leave Smilie Page up?

    Hello!

Is there a way to have it so that the smilies page could be left up instead of it closing out each time someone posts?

Folks love all the fun smilies we have but the page takes a bit to load for us slower dial up folks and it would be great if we could just leave it up all the time to use from post to post.

    Thanks in advance!

Not possible at this time, but you can ask your member(s) to click on 'Posting Rules' smilies until you can create a dropdown of all your smilie or add a list to all the reply boxes.

      Thank you for your reply.

Where are the "Posting Rules" I'm not seeing anything that sees that in the member area? All of the smilies are already loaded up and available in a box that pops up when they click "More" under the regular default ones and members can see them that way when they are typing a reply but that box automatically closes out when they hit the "Submit Reply" button. This is fine for those with a high speed connection but with all the smilies we have it's time consuming for those with a slow dial-up connection which is why I was wondering if there's an option to have it stay up unless closed out as a default for the board... I guess it's one for the vB wish list eh?

It sounds like I'll have to have them use the work around I figured out... open the "More" smilies page, bookmark it using right click and then load it that way as a new window or tab.. it's an extra step but for those on slow dial up like myself I think it will be worth it to not have to have it take several minutes to load each time they want to use a unique smilie/emoticon.

Thanks again for the reply.. hope you have a lovely day.

It is located on the left bottom of this page and you will notice hyperlink to smilies non clickable page. You can also inquire over at vBulletin.org and see if anyone has come up with a solution or make a suggestion for next release.
