External login

Hello, I want to utilize the vbulletin user database to allow for a login on a separate part of the site. I do not want to use vbulletin source files / modifications to do this. (like vbexternal)

I was wondering if someone had written any articles about how the passwords/salt/md5 works in vbulletin.

This is how vB does it: md5(md5(md5('password') . user.salt) . licensenumber)
