Unfortunaetly, you can't do it in templates.
However, you can do so using the hooks system. I think one of the hooks in vbulletin general can help you execute code at fairly close to the end.

I am using vBulletin 5.0.5 and when trying to render PHP in template files the system is automatically commenting it out. Is there a reason why it is doing this, or a solution to this issue?Sat 9 Nov '13, 6:53am
