how do i hide my admin as my user type?

i dont want people to know that i am an admin on my site, since usually a admins,mods, exc only create problems.

I have tired going into my admin cp and altering my profile to use "registerd users" as my primary and "administrator" as my additional, and then set "registered user" as my display user, but that doesnt help...

any ideas?

Change your title from Administrator to Peon for the usergroup Administrators?

ok figured it out... admins have the right to change their status name... so i just reset it and it worked.

So, changing the title of the Administrator usergroup to Staff (for example) will not have any negative effects any where else in the coding of vBulletin?

The option wouldn't be given if it wasn't safe to change it... that's the whole point of customizing vBulletin to your liking
