    Banning Email Address

    Hello,

I would like to ban a variety of email addresses based on the domain - e.g. [email protected] - the ".ru" is invariably a spammer and it is taking me a lot of time everyday just to clean up the users. I have installed a module to prevent them from spamming, but it still takes time to clean / moderate. Please can you advise how I can do this because I could not find a section with this in the admin control panel.

    Kind Regards,
    Raheel

Go to AdminCP>vBulletin Options>User Banning Options

Third option down is "Banned Email Addresses". There you may input e-mail addresses which to ban from your site. It can be either full ([email protected]) or partial (@abc.com).

And .ru isn't just a spammer. ru is the Internet country code top-level domain for Russia.

      Dear darkakira,

Thank you very much for the advice. Apologies for phrasing question incorrectly. Agreed, .ru is top level domain for Russia - unfortunately - I get so much spam - probably one in every thousand users with that domain would be valid. Therefore it is much easier for me to ban that domain then spend 15 minutes daily cleaning up.

Thanks again - this is very helpful.

      Regds,
      Raheel
