    Adding Custom Fields to Navbar?

    Hi,
I'm in the process of migrated my forum from phpBB2 to vBulletin and I'm trying to make the new look and feel consistent with my legacy phpBB2 layout.

I'm trying to change the navbar options to display custom pages/links on the left; home, forum, album, classifieds. I believe the normal place to modify the navbar is 'Style Manager/ Navigation Breadcrumb Templates/ navbar. However due to the addition of a custom style my <!-- nav buttons bar --> tags are now located in the Style Manager/Common Templates/Header.

    I have two problems:
    1. Somewhere along the way I've messed up the code in the style header because even when you're logged in there's still a 'Register' link in the navbar, I would like to remove this when logged in.
    2. As mentioned above I'd like to add custom links to the left of the navbar and remove the 'User CP' and private message options, can somebody point me in the right direction please?

I've attached the code for my style header and an image of my current navbar when logged in and out.

    Many thanks.
    Ron

Do you have the original navbar template? The unedited one?

I would like to compare the two. It looks to me (as far as the register button) that you are missing an <if> condition somwhere.

As far as custom links... What exactly do you want to add. I may be able to give you SOME code as to how to add them, and then explain the rest to you.

Thanks Floob for uploading the originals!

darkakira, I'm trying to add the headings, 'Home', 'Forum', 'Album', 'Classifieds' and 'Events Calendar' (aligned left and to be present when either logged In or Out) to my NavBar where currently I have the 'UserCP'/'Register' and 'Private Message' titles. I'd appreciate any pointers you can send my way because it's beyond me for sure!

        Thanks
        Ron

          Floob:
I will check them and get back to you.

          Ron:
Try to do it yourself. Look at how some of the items are placed, and try to recreate it yourself, and the take out the ones you dont want/need.

            Sorted it myself now darkakira!

I'm putting my site live in about 20mins, but I'll get back to you and say what I did to customise the NavBar very soon.

            Thanks
            Ron

              Glad you got it.

It is better to figure it out on your own anyway. That way if it arises again (even slightly varied), you know what to do.
