    They might not have been exported from the database. If they were, they would be in the file structure where you had avatars and profile pictures stored at.

    Thanks Wayne, is this a bug I should report? Presumably the missing avatars are still on the server somewhere. Could they be found as orphan files? Could my webhost find them with a search or could they be logged somewhere?

    Not unless you have backups of the images stored somewhere on your computer. You will have to have the user's reupload their missing images.

    User Picture Storage Type

    I just performed a Move Items from Database into File System and discovered some of my members avatars and profile pics missing. I reversed the procedure but that didn't restore them. In the database customavatar table 23 filename fields are empty and in the customprofilepic table 5 filename fields are empty.

    Is there any way to restore this apart from asking the members to reupload their avatars or using a backup copy of the database?
