Calendar help

I have an event lasting 18 Weeks that occurs on a wednesday at a specific time.

As apposed to creating that event 18 times i posted the recuring one.

On Different night there are slight variations, when i try to edit that night it edits the whole range.

Is there a way to just edit that one only without effecting the rest of them?

AM i missing something?

I doubt that you're missing anything. That's the way I've seen every recurring event type entry work on every calendar that I've ever seen. To the system, they're not seen as individual events. They're seen as one event that is repeated. Thus editing this one event, changes all occurences of that event.
