  • How to up the max_packet_size in mysql?

    Hi,
    I wonder how to up the max_packet_size in mysql,
    please I'm a newbie in vbulletins so i need some step by step help

    Right now i can see the max for mysql is 4MB but after that i don't have any idea where to go Admincp----> ?

    This would be in the my.cnf file from MySQL. This is something your host can do for you and is not related to vBulletin settings.

      thye are telling me that its not possible to make any changes on the default server setup?

        Yes. In vBulletin you can't change this value, as it is a variable from the MySQL server, which can be set in the my.cnf file. Something you can do if you run your own server, or else your hosting provider.
