  • How do I disable the "title" in reply

    Hi there

    Please check the image

    I just want to disable the title in reply, but I cannot find an option to disable this. The only related option I could find is "Automatically Quote Post / Thread Title".

    Would anyone please tell me how do I disable this? Need to make changes to the Templates?

    You have to change this input field to a hidden input field. So it is still parsed with the form, but will be empty. And with the option you talked about set to not auto include titles it should not list the title if it is empty.

        Admin Control Panel > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > dropdown: Edit Templates > Select the group "New Reply Templates" and expand it.

        From it select the "newreply" template and edit it.

        From it, find this code:
        <!-- subject field -->
        <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" class="fieldset">
            <td class="smallfont" colspan="3">$vbphrase[title]:</td>
            <td><input type="text" class="bginput" name="title" value="$title" size="50" maxlength="$vboptions[titlemaxchars]" tabindex="1" title="$vbphrase[optional]" /></td>
            <td><img id="display_posticon" src="$selectedicon[src]" alt="$selectedicon[alt]" /></td>
        <!-- / subject field -->
        And replace it with this code:
        <input type="hidden" name="title" value="" />
        And save the template.
