  • Registration and Quick reply fatal error

Upgraded to latest version 3.6.7 and getting this message upon registration:

Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /home/stuh/public_html/forum/register.php on line 384

That would appear to be from a modification. Have you installed any add-ons?

Also run 'Suspect File Version' in Diagnostics and report back the results.

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

Do any show as 'File does not contain expected contents', 'version mismatch' or missing? If so, you need to reupload the original vB non-image files. Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

All hacks were removed. I ran the diagnostics and got the following

activecell.htc File not recognized as part of vBulletin (under ./clientscript)

datastore_cache.php File not recognized as part of vBulletin (under ./includes)

upgrade.php File not found (under ./install)

And the problem is still not resolved

I can reproduce this, but can't figure out why it's happening (at this point).

I'll see if someone else from staff has an idea perhaps.

This is a bug in PHP:
