  • Removing "lock" gifs from forums acting as categories?

    Hi all!

    I have my forum set up into three separate "categories" with these categories being named The Arena, 2006-07 Season, and Office - respectively.

    These categories are set to "NO" for active forum as I simply wanted to divide the forum into three sections with sub-forums underneath.

    However in doing so, I get the forum_old_lock.gif appearing on the sub-forums which makes it appear locked when not.

    Is there another way to do this?

    Thanks!

    Paula

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting vBulletin Support.

    Set active : No

    Is probably not the option you were looking for. You want to set that to yes, but the option above it, 'act as forum: NO' has to be no.

    yes = forum
    no = category.

    Here's a video on how to add a forum as a category.

    I hope this is what you're looking for.

      Hi Floris,

      Settings are already as you described above. The problem is that I get the "forum lock" gif on subdirectories.
