"Rebuild Post Cache" missing from AdminCP

I recently updated from 3.5.2 to 3.6.7 PL1 after renewing my licence.
I decided to take the opportunity to install a few plugins/products, one of which called for me to run the Rebuild Post Cache counter update.
Unfortunately, I can't find it in the Update Counters section of the AdminCP.

Apparently, it should be immediately below Rebuild Search Index but I have Empty Signature Cache there.

Is it possible that a particular file didn't make it across when I FTPed the new package over? If so, which one would it be?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me the specifics - I really don't relish sending the whole lot over and having to redo all my tweaks again!

Thank you for contacting vBulletin Support.

We can not provide support for plugins and addons. Sorry.

By default vBulletin has the option to cache posts
And if this is turned on, there will be an option to rebuild the post cache.

First, to check if all your files are ftped over, you can go the admin control panel > maintenance > diagnostics > file suspect version > and run this. Any customized files, or files not matching their content, or files that don't match the version will be listed here.

if nothing returns here that's weird, you are fine.

You can now to go the Admin Control Panel > vBulletin Options > vBulletin Options > And find the option to use post cache, and turn it on.

Once turned on, you can go to the maintenance > update counters > update post cache > and run it.

I'd done the file check previously and all was good.
The fact that post cache wasn't turned on does explain why I didn't have the option, thanks.

I can't actually find it in vBulletin Options though, could you be more specific as to where it actually is?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of using this option, both from the server and client perspective?

There no on/off option but I checked my Dev server and there is Cached Posts Lifespan which is set to 7 days.
That now has the option to rebuild the cache.

I'll check the live site tomorrow, as it's late here now.



One final thing though... I made this thread five and a half days and three bumps ago but it's had no replies. If it's possible to get an answer without bumping it again, I'd appreciate it.
