  • How do I install Impex

I know theres a manual. I am just not getting it. So far I got the Import button working but than when I click on import I get a "page cannot be found" or whatever. I uploaded the impex complete file to the same directory as admincp. Did I do it right?.. It seems like its not finding it.

Anyway any help would be appreciated.

Did you edit ImpExConfig.php as per the instructions?

      yes I did.

Select Source format board does not come up when i click on the import button. I just get a page cannot be found instead. Does that mean the ImpexExconfig.php is not edited right than?

If I can figure out what I am doing wrong at least I will know where to start working

If your getting a page not found error, you sure you uploaded the page?

You will need to upload the contents of the 'upload' folder in the ImpEx distribution to your forumhome directory. If you are asked to overwrite any files, please choose yes.

The forum I am trying to upload from or the new vbulletin? Does that include everything in the upload folder?

As per the instructions you install Impex to subdirectory of your main vB forum directory.

Ok I finaly got it all to work now I get all red ones when I do this.
If you have all red tables, i.e. none correct this could possible be your table prefix :

phpbb_ Failed Check database permissions and connection, or table prefix to ensure its correct

Ok so how do I find out what the table prefix is for my database. Also what is the one for the Vbulletin I guess it would be the same since both databases are from the same host?

If you are importing a phpBB database, then in all likelihood the source table prefix should be: phpbb_
