  • removing old ACP menu items

    Hello,

I have several plugins/add-ons that I'm not longer using (and have been removed from the file system and/or plug system) but the menus are still there on the left sidebar of the ACP.

knowing to not to ask for support of mods,
in particular, the ImPex menu is there, but has long been removed (nearly a year now)

Can i remove these items? Where is it getting called from?

Download the .zip file from the vb version you're running
Delete the content of the folder: includes/xml/
Unpack the vb zip and upload the content from your hdd includes/xml to your online includes/xml

    and reload the admincp

    should be fixed now.

      ahh cool.

before i go through the whole deal, browsing this /xml directory shows cpnav_xxxxxxx file names that i want to delete.

can i simply safely delete these custom/extra cpnav_xxxxx items?

        Those cpnav_hacknames.xml files? yes.

You can also go to admincp > maintenance > diagnostics > suspect files > and check which are not default vb files
