Limiting Signature Images

The image settings only apply to signature images that are uploaded to your site. Images within [img] tags are not controlled by any settings in vBulletin, although they can be disabled in signatures in the usergroup permissions.

I have set the image settings (75x300) within the user permissions yet users still seem to be able to upload images larger than what I've selected. I haven't changed the maximum file size in kb's so does that override the actual dimensions?
