how do I add text/ search box to the top part

I want to add text and a seach box to the top part of the forum, its quite had to explain where, but to the left of the "welcome, userName"

This would be the navbar template. Customizations like these fall outside of the vBulletin support, you're best of asking template modification support on vbulletin.org - My best guess is to use the form and the popup html code (minus it being a popup) from the navbar and put it in the breadcrumb section.
