  • Attemted Hack of my Site!

    A site i run has just tried to be hacked, they left a Javascript code? Is this code any use to the admins here or shall i just ignore it?

        You are the 3rd or 4th person to report this.

        I had an attempt earlier.

        Post what ever you have.

        Check your admin logs to see if they got in.

        The hacker gave a dormant user mod and admin power on my board.

        Now that I think about it, I had an error occur recently when a new user signed up and I approved the account. Is it possible that there is some injection with the sign up procedure?

          Where/how did they leave the JS code?

          If they posted it, does the JS also execute if you view that thread?

            I have PM'd Marco the code left behind, i believe it is a script that redirects the site to the hackers webpage? I will leave the decision with Marco, i hope some good comes from it.

            BTW, the hacking site runs a VBulletin board..
