I got it. I had to change the db name. For some reason I had it set to bleepd. But it registered it as bleepd_bleepd.
So once I changed that, got it.
    Thanks for all the help.

Right I updated that. I forgot my password to it apparently... so I deleted it and added it again. And now I get this...

    Code:

    Database error in vBulletin :
    Cannot use database bleepd
MySQL Error : Access denied for user 'bleepd_bleepd'@'localhost' to database 'bleepd'
    Error Number : 1044
    Date : Monday, May 14th 2007 @ 04:16:41 PM
    Script : http://www.bleepd.com/forums/install/upgrade.php
    Referrer :
    IP Address : -------
    Username :
    Classname : vb_database

Okay have you added the user to the database? As detailed in the cpanel manual?

    Jeremy,

This is no reason your vBulletin update should be trying to access mysql as root. You are probably missing the mysql login information, or the update script is somehow not reading it correctly.
