Change the time for "currently active users"

I want to lower the time for "currently active users" so it displays the people who have been on in say...the past 5 Minutes rather than the past 10/15Minutes.

I've looked all over for it and cant seem to find anything that would appear to allow me to alter it.

I do not recommend changing the cookie timeout setting from 900 to any lower. Note: If you have 15 minutes (900) you have 15 minutes to click on a link and write out your post and submit it.

If you change this to 5, then users click a link, write the post and press submit .. and are asked to login first because their session timed out.
