  • Using PNG icons

I'm currently about to recive a batch PNG icons and would like to use them with my vBulletin forum. I believe that the scripts are currently set up to look for .gjf and .jpg. How can I use .png as well as the other formats?

    Thanks

The script will pick up images in the directory that have the following extensions (from line 763, admincp/image.php)
    • .jpg
    • .gif
    • .jpeg
    • .jpe
    • .png
    • .bmp

Hi Kier, just pointing at a directory full of png icons doesn't seem to be working for me. The images are still trying to appear as .gif even when there are only pngs in the folder. Are there any settings I need to change to pick up pngs? Any suggestions?

Looks fairly slick but what are the implications on server performace for redirecting 50images every page load for ever user?

It shouldn't be too bad, if it gets horribly add it directtly to your httpd.conf instead of an htaccess.

how would that go? My forum can go over 1000 concurrent users.

You'd add the same line to your virtual host line in your httpd.conf.
