How do I use the Referrer System?

Hello,

I see on the registration form, there is a text field for people to enter the referrer username.

Is there a way for me to have it in the url, so people don't have to enter the referrer?

Something like

http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?referrername=<username>

http://www.mydomain.com/register.php?referrername=<username>

When people enter the referral url, the referrer field automatically get filled with <username>

Thanks for the link, but how does forum members know the referral url and referral id? Is there any place in the user cp that shows the referral url and id, or this is something I need to enable in Admin CP?

They don't and there is no automatic way for them to do this. How would you expect them to do all that if they can't handle filling out a simple referral name?
