  • Change to MYSQL FTS

    Hi!

I want to change to MYSQL FTS. Does this mean I have to spend hours on making indexes again?

Whem I'm using vBulletin search it takes me hours to make the index. Can I just switch to MFTS without having problems?

You can switch, it will take time for the index to totally rebuild itself, but its something internal to mysql.

The queries will take time to create but they run automatically. You do not need to run the "Rebuild Search Index" under Update Counters. In fact you can empty the word and postindex tables after switching.
