  • File does not exist?

    Hello,

My site has been going down from time to time and then springing back to life on its own. The server has been making about 15MB of the following entries every day:

[Fri Feb 02 00:00:12 2007] [error] [client 209.115.255.165] File does not exist: /home/virtual/canreef.com/webroot/htdocs/forums, referer: http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/sho...t=28340&page=3

Has someone come across this problem before? If so, how do we correct this? As a matter of fact, I'm not even sure which file is it referring to as the ../forums directory doesn't exit.

    Many thanks.

    Check your Forum URL:

AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> Site Name/URL/Contact Details -> Forum URL

      Hello,

Thanks for the reply. The entry for the Forum URL is http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin which is a correct path that exists. However, the subdirectory "/home/virtual/canreef.com/webroot/htdocs/forums" which should be referring to http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/forums does not exist. Where else can I look? This is causing the site to go down almost daily with the huge loge files accumulating.

      Titus

You have some script running that is looking for that directory. If it's not coming form one of your vB settings, then it has to be from code you've added or installed.
