  • Avatar errors

I tried adding a picture to my signature on my forums (http://flotserver.net/forums). When I did, I got an error that said "Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file."

After searching the forums, I found this fix:

"You need to enable safe mode in the Admin CP and set the Safe Mode temp Directory to a directory that has been chmod'd to 777. Use the full path to that directory on the server.

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options -> Safe Mode Upload Enabled -> Yes"

I did this and it worked, but when I went to link to an avatar, I got that message again. If I try uploading the avatar from my computer, I get "Unable to move/copy file".

Here's what I get with the diagnostics:

    file_uploads:On
    open_basedir:/var/www/vhosts/flotserver.net/httpdocs:/tmp
    safe_mode:On
    upload_tmp_dir:None
    upload_max_filesize:32.00 MB
