  • Admincp problem.

    Hi,

Installed 3.6.4 and everything worked fine using a domain for the setup, let's say "www.example.com". Once I changed that to my new domain "www.anotherexample.com" things started mess up. I added the new domain in the whitelist, even renamed the server to make sure it could reslov things.

The formum works but once I go into the admin panel the forum links to:

    http://192.168.1.10/forum/admincp/

    Instead of

    http://example2.forum/admincp/

If I manually change the ipaddress in the url to the domain in the browser I can get in to the admincp.

    Any ideas?

    Br,

    /Christopher

      Check:

AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details -> Forum URL

        Nope, not that simple..

The setting is correct. Even tried with and without "http://" in front of it. I get prompted for the login to the admincp and the redirect window pops up and then it stops..

At the bottom of the web browser it says http://10.0.51.254/forum/admincp/index.php.

Once I change it to the name in the browser i can connect to it. Is there anything fundamental I'm missing here?

        Br,

Tried changing it to something wrong..

If I changed the Forum URL to something wrong I get the exact same problem for a normal login to the forum. Reverted it back to the correct value and then the forum login is fine but the admincp still points to an ip.

            Another update..

Completely removed the forum files and replaced them with the originals (except config.php). Same problem, issue must be in db?
