I lost data for the last 7 days and trying to reconstuct. I have threads that had 2000 views now showing the new lower number since I replaced them and I would like to restore the higher previous and correct number - I can't figure out where in the database this is. Is there an easy way to do this?

What happened exactly? Did you restore a 7 day old backup? In that case it would be normal for the view counters to revert to their counts from 7 days ago. There is no way to get the newer counts back unless you restore a more recent backup.
You can manually edit the view counters for threads by querying the thread.views field in the database.

Thanks, I had fished around www.phpmyadmin.net without success before but I finally found the field involved.
By the way, i am only editing the views on closed threads so the edited higher number is accurate. I am leaving the numbers alone on open threads because they are accurate for the posts that are showing.Last edited by Thierry Martin; Sun 14 Jan '07, 12:52pm.
