  • Database error

Hello. I was on like the last step, after creating username for admin and importing settings and this error came up:
    Code:
    Database error in vBulletin :

    mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Access Denied
    /domain.com/includes/class_core.php on line 273

    MySQL Error :
    Error Number :
    Date : Thursday, December 28th 2006 @ 02:09:05 PM
    Script : http://www.domain.com/install/install.php?do=
    Referrer : http://www.domain.com/install/install.php?step=11
    IP Address : 84.217.168.244
    Username :
    Classname : vB_Database
Where I replaced domain paths to domain.com. I had trouble the first time also with a similar error in the middle of the install. I had to enter som DB values before I started the installation.

I also wonder what happens if you choose (blank) on cookie domain? I could choose that and .domain.com.

In 99% of the situation you should leave the cookie settings at their default.

The error you get is however not related to a cookie setting or such, but means that the MySQL user you have set in your config.php does not have full permissions to the database. Ensure in your Server Control panel software that the user has permission to the database.

It worked after I refreshed the page, very very odd. And cookie domain .domain.com was recommended so I chose it.

MySQL Error : Server shutdown in progress

This is a server issue. MySQL is being shut down and probably restarted.

Okey. And the worst thing is that my host's support is so slow.
