Not sure I understand your first post, but the error in the second one means that either the adminmessage table is missing, or you are using a table prefix and have not edited the config.php file to use the corretc prefix.
Check your database.

Repair using a Full back-up
Prior to turning off BB in admin cp and preparing to carry out upgrade from 3.5.4 to 3.6.4 I carried out a full back up
Having what looked like succesfully completing 5 of 5 steps I now have nothing
http://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk
How can I reinstall 3.5.4 and then repair using my full back up ?
Or am I missing something ?
Hope you can help as I "lost" my original php helper/installer and I have had no choice but to attempt upgrade myself
Using ftp I can still see all relevant folders and files and other than renaming config.php.new (as instructed) no other files were edited or even opened
