  • External Data Provider - how to link to it?

    what I mean is - should my users see a link to click on or an image or something?(maybe I'm missing an image)

    I can add it using Firefox as the broswer has an RSS option but in the version of IE I'm using nothing on my loaded forum page tells me RSS is available???

    X (the type) can be : js / rss / rss2 / xml

    the &forumids=y isn't required but helps you pick specific forums.

      Thanks for the reply but I know the link - what I mean is I thought there would have been some sort of Rss icon/image load on any given page when Rss is turned on so that members would know that they could add my forum to their Rss reader - it's not like this?

        Yeah, my location bar in firefox uses the build in rss. I am not sure how internet deals with this.

        For example, view source on this page:

        <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="vBulletin Community Forum RSS Feed" href="external.php?type=RSS2" />

        <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="vBulletin Community Forum - vBulletin 3.6 'How Do I' Questions - RSS Feed" href="external.php?type=RSS2&amp;forumids=119" />
