My site got hacked by a user entering the following code into a post

    ">"">>>><meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0;url=http://esra.t35.com/CYBER.html"> ""

When you go to the forum/index.php page it automatically redirects you to the above hackers page.

Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening in the future?

    Many thanks

Ps: i have sorted the problem by deleting the post containing the redirection but could still do with help preventing this from happening again.

      very sad

      yes its very sad really.

In this instance it looks like a url redirect is entered into the title of the thread which redirects all users.

Any idea how to prevent users entering url redirects into the thread title?

      cheers
