If you don't have any code modifications or plugins, please open a support ticket providing AdminCP and FTP login details.

I've followed all the instructions above and the active figure has still not changed. In fact, despite having 10 new members in the past 24 hrs, the active figure is lower than it was yesterday.

Yes, I agree its not a major problem, but a number of members are questioning it, so it would be nice to get it show the correct figure.

No, it's not a huge problem, but my users get (or better got) a bit confused because of that.

But thanks for your nice support :-)

Possibly the lastactivity value is not always updated, and when that value is checked this happens.

To be honest I don't see this as a huge problem though.

Thanks for that hint, but it only increased this number to 169

Is there something bad in the way of calculating this number?

    Try this. Go to your

AdminCP -> Scheduled Tasks -> Scheduled Task Manager

There, click on [Run Now] next to the 'Daily Statistics Log' item.

    That'll update the cache.

    Okay.

So today is October, 30th. Calculating 60 days back, we are at August, 31th.

Now, if you count the users listed at my user's list manually, you will find out that there are more than 168 which is shown at forumshome-page:
    http://board.rellek.org/memberlist.p...astvisit&pp=30

    -> http://board.rellek.org/memberlist.p...sort=lastvisit

    6*30 = 180
    +13 from 7th page = 193

    So, what's wrong here?

    Thanks for your support :-)

    Hi,

i've a little question about this feature.

I set the timeout to 60 days. But after statistics were updated it shows me a - imho - wrong number of active members. When I count them in my memberslist, there are 30 more "active" people than that statistics show me...

    What's wrong here?

Does ist really count the number of users that were logged in, or does it count the number of users having written a post in last X days?

Is that something that we have to manually do, or the board will automatically do at some point?

    Edit: Nevermind...apparently, it's automatic.

    Thanks for that.

However, I have tried changing the time cut off but the active figure does not change.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

Members logged in to your forum in the past X days. The default setting is 30 days.

You can set the limit at:

AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> Forums Home Page Options -> Active Members Time Cut-Off

    Active users

What is the definition of an 'active user'? Is it members that have logged in within a certain time period or have posted a message?
