Sending forum feedback

I am getting a regular guest who is constantly trying to send forum feedback. I've put the IP address in the User Banning Options table, but I still see them in who's online on the "Sending Forum Feedback" page.

Although I am not getting messages from them, should I still be able to see them on that page? They are not getting an error message showing either.

The IP address is 200.88.223.98

Are they still using the same IP address that you banned? Does the online record show a image indicating no permission?

If they are truly IP banned then they should not have access to anything.

Hi Jake,

In the "who's online" area it appears to still be the same IP address and there is no icon as you suggested.

Some bots use the "Forum Feedback" to send spam. Just enable the visual confirmation on forum feedback forum and it will prevent automated spam.

Thanks, but I've done that already haris, the point being it should get an error message from banning the IP address. This bit seems not to be working.

I just tested this. It appears that banned users can still access sendmessage.php. I see no option to change this. I am guessing this was done to give banned users a way to contact the admin to followup on the ban.

I see, thanks for that Jake. Is it possible to distinguish between someone in the banned usergroup and an IP in the 'user banning options' for 3.6.3 or would it need to be tightened in some other way?

On the online.php page? I don't know of any way to do that? Of course I can't test it since I would have to IP ban myself.
