External database?

Hi, I have my MySQL database on a external server, not the same as i will install my 3.6 forum, is it possible for me to connect to that database or do i have to move it?

It's possible but you would have to configure that server to allow remote MySQL connections from your server. If you don't have root access to that server then it's unlikely your host will allow this.
