Error when uploading from 3.0.3 to 3.6.2

I'm receiving the following error when trying to run the upgrade script (www.muskokamemories/Marchies/install/upgrade.php).

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: file_get_contents() in I:\wwwroot\muskokamemories\Marchies\includes\class_core.php on line 901

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.
