page text not showing up in emails

Ok I have it set up so everytime a thread is started or replied to it emails me. But the bottom where it says:

Here is the message that has just been posted:

$pagetext <-----This is a blank field? no text

***************

No I went into the phrases and the phrase has a $pagetext but still not text is showing.

You posted a fragment of what? Your translation of what phrase? What's its original / standard phrase? Are you sure you posted the phrase that was used to construct the e-mail you received?

no the emails show up just fine witha a link but where there should be text from the post there isnt its blank in between the asterrisks... I have modifed these phrases at all
