    Quick reply problems

    My quick reply is not working correctly. When attempting to post a quick reply an error appears above the box stating Okay in white in a link form. When I refresh the post appears. I set it to standard editor and still the same thing. I tried with the clicking button option and without and still the same problem. I never had this problem with 3.6.0 is it maybe a bug? Im using Internet Explorer so I know its definately not a browser problem.

    This is almost certainly a problem with a customized template. Did you revert your custom templates after upgrading?

    Try this. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Then change to this style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

    Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

      I just installed this vb version a few days ago. I only have like one or two modifications nothing big at all. Im using the default template, Kirsh which is upgraded to 3.6.2 and one more. It does not work any of them. I will try what you said and see what happens thank you. I will post back...

        I just reverted my default style and still having the same problem. All three of my templates are by themselves. I make them work individualy if that is what you mean by parent styles.

          Did you create a new style like I suggested? This is definitely a style problem. Either that or it's anoher modification you've made - plugin, product, etc.

              It has to be from a change you made somewhere. This does not happen with the default vB.

              First, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file.

              Next, disable all plugins.

              Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

              define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

                    Hmmm... I don't see how that can be. Try this. Set up a fresh test forum with all the original vB files and templates. Then if you can reproduce this problem on that forum, let me know. If not, then this will show that the problem is related to one or more changes you made.

                      Well you were right the test forum works fine, I cant figure out what hack is causing the problem.

                        Look at what template edits each hack required, that will almost certainly give you a clue.

                          I can say its definately something with my config.php file. I send the same one that I had on my original forum and replaced it with the test forum, and the test forum is having the same problem as the normal one is. I put the templates back to their original ways. Uninstalled all 4 hacks. Still I cant get it to work... So its definately with my config.php file but what though? Im lost completely. I even added that code you asked me to add at the end of the config file.... Also my reputation does not work , the button is their you click and nothing happens....
